We look forward to hosting your class or group at Evansville Wartime Museum. Usually tours run one hour.
Schools and Teachers We welcome you, your class and your school. We ask that you provide one chaperone per every six 4th through 8th grade students and one chaperone per every 10 high school students. We ask that chaperones remain with the group at all times.
Clubs, Organizations and Churches We look forward to hosting your tour group. Please note our Group Rate is $4.00 per person over 18 years of age – other discounts not applicable. We can accommodate your meetings, presentations or meals as Events with competitive Rental Rates – please contact us at (812) 424-7461 and we’ll contact you about your Event.
Accessibility All four of our galleries are on the first floor and fully accessible. Our entry is at ground-level with no stairs. Our two restrooms are on the first floor with accessible stalls. We have available one wheelchair and one walker.
Indoor Climate Three of our galleries are air-conditioned during warm weather months. Our Main Hall, formerly an aircraft hangar, is ventilated but we encourage guests to keep their coats during colder weather.
Parking and Accommodations As school and group tours take place Tuesday through Friday when the Museum is closed, your group receives the equal of a private tour. Your docent-led tour includes our four galleries as well as any particular subject matter we can provide. Please let us know any special requests or curriculum requirements. Parking There is plenty of on-site parking for cars, vans and buses. A ramp at the curb helps with wheelchairs or other assistive devices. Food Service We have no food service on premise, nor do we encourage food or beverage in the Museum galleries.
Tour Hours Tour hours on Tuesday through Friday are 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please let us know if your class or group needs different timing and we will try to plan accordingly.
Reservations To assure that we provide your class or group with the best possible experience, please reserve your day and time AT LEAST TWO WEEKS in advance, along with returning your Tour Reservation Form (download this form using the link below). You can reserve a day and time up to three months prior to your planned visit.
Group Rates
Group rate Adults 18 years or older $4.00 paid with one transaction, no additional discounts, minimum 15 paid adults attending the tour.
Group rate Students under 18 years of age $3.00 paid with one transaction, no additional discounts, minimum 20 paid students attending the tour.
Free admissions EWM Individual or Family members. Teachers and bus drivers. Up to five chaperones.
Group Discount
Group discounts apply as follows:
— MINIMUM of 15 paid Adults or 20 paid Students on the day of the tour. A $60.00 minimum tour fee can be applied if fewer than 15 paid adults or 20 paid students attend.
— ADVANCE RESERVATION REQUIRED – Please download and complete our tour form, following instructions on the form.
— ADMISSION FEE PAID WITH ONE TRANSACTION – It can be one check, one cash payment or one credit/debit card transaction.
— TOUR SCHEDULED ON TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY OR FRIDAY between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (Contact the Museum for afternoon availability at [812] 424-7461)
Payment So that your group enters the Museum quickly and orderly, we ask all tours to pay upon arrival with ONE form of payment for all admissions. Payment can be cash, check made to Evansville Wartime Museum, Visa, Mastercard or Discover. School or business checks can be accepted with proper identification. Those paying separately will receive General Admission rates.
